Halloween in Japan is so different from the United States! I had a lot of fun with my friends, but it felt like much less of an event than my usual Halloween. It's important to see these kinds of differences, I think. I'm gaining a lot of cultural perspective. This month has provided a lot of that for me as I adjust to my lifestyle here. The college is further than I'm used to, and it takes 50 minutes to walk. I wouldn't normally be bothered by that, but the humidity is killing me. I take the bus most days because of this, even though I was trying to save money. The classes are also very different, and the Japanese classes are much longer than I expected. It will be some time yet before I am fully accustomed to how I live here.
